550A-6
Beck 550A-6 uses the 550A wide body with motor mounting for a Porsche 911 6-cylinder engine. The transaxle can be from either a 911 or a 914. Frame modifications include: four link DeDion rear suspension, Panhard bar, Aldan coil over shock absorbers and a modified 914-6 headers exhaust system. $TBA (add to the Basic 550 Kit price)

ADDITIONAL PARTS REQUIRED FOR THE COMPLETION OF THE DELUXE BODY/CHASSIS KIT:

    • Complete VW Type 1 engine including all accessories. A Porsche 356, 912 or original 4 cam motors can be used.
    • VW ’66 to ’77 complete front beam except for the actual beam. Use disk brakes from Karman Ghia.
    • VW ’61 to ’72 complete transaxle assembly, drum to drum including shocks. Ring gear must be flipped.
    • Tires: Michelin 165XZX-15 front. 205MXV-15 rear.
    • VW Type 1 single action brake master cylinder and reservoir.
    • VW Type 1 steering shaft and tube. Length must be cut to suit driver.
    • VW Type 1 gearshift lever and shift tube.
    • Battery and cables.
    • VW Type 1 wiper assembly (90 drive only).
    • VW bus clutch cable.
    • VW accelerator cable.
    • VW 12-volt starter motor.
    • Assorted nuts and bolts for attachment of pedal assembly, master cylinder, engine, transmission, trailing arms and rear shocks.
    • Steering wheel.
    • Optional 911 style fan assembly. Includes shroud, alternator, blower & hardware – $TBA
