34 LIGHTENING INFORMATION
It isnt all that often that something really new comes along that changes the way people have thought about a product. The 34 Lightening Thunderod is such a change! This car uses an all composite stressed skin monocoque structure as its body and frame. The carbon fiber, Kevlar, "S" glass and Divinycell bonded together with vinylester resin are the components the composite utilizes to create the strength needed for this unibody roadster. These materials together have long been used in the aircraft/aerospace industry but until the 34 Lightening never before in the automobile nor the Hot Rod industry.
