thunder ranch
Veteran Porsche sports car racer, designer, and replicar business owner Tom McBurnie, chief designer and owner of Thunder Ranch in El Cajon, CA, seemingly goes straight through the slalom course with swift dispatch in one of his 356 Speedsters.

midstates
In his maroon big-block Chevy-powered Midstates Classic Cobra 427 SC, Owner Dean Hornbacker went most rapidly 'round the skidpad. He was all in focus, while all else was a blur.

back draft
Not only is Reg Dodd the owner of Backdraft Racing, a Cobra replica manufacturer in Boynton Beach, FL, and South Africa, he's also an accomplished racecar driver. He made it to 60 mph in less time than it
takes to read this sentence.

stuttgart
Stuggart Spyders of Long Beach, CA, owned by Andy Shouse, is a new manufacturer of Porsche 550 Spyder replicas. The '56 550 kit locked up the rear tires in the 60-0 braking test, but hopefully not enought to flat spot 'em. Now you know why we ran the braking test last.

cobra vette

The '66 Cobray-C3 entry from Cobras 'N' Vettes performed welll in the acceleration test. A Chevy small-block V-8 powers the cr, which has a C3 Corvette ('68-82) chassis.

shell valley
This being the first time ever that James Pierce Sr. had done any timed performance driving, he had his hands full with the skidpad course. You can read how well his Shell Valley Cobra 427 SC performed in all four categories in this issue.
