How many were built? |
It appears that 3 prototypes were built in 1963. In 1964 100 were built 10 were race cars. The 20 cars were built in 1965 but possibly only 16 assembled and the remaining used for parts. | |
Why was the 904 so popular? |
It was the continuation of the small displacement sheet/ race car that was started with the 550. It was a car that worked well on the street as well as on the race track whether factory entered or privateer. | |

The majority were Silver. There were some painted Green, Red, Blue and in 1967. Tom McBurnie personally owned a White 904. | |
What is the current value of |
Because only 116 were built. Their value is in the Stratosphere! They command more than $750,000 today with cars with interesting race histories bring over a million! | |
